Diane graduated from UC Irvine with a B.S. in Neurobiology. Throughout college, she conducted research on the neuroepigenetics of learning and memory. In addition, she founded School on Wheels at UCI, an organization that connects college students with the local homeless children population for one-on-one tutoring and mentorship. After graduating, she continued her passion for brain research and working with the underserved population in Washington, D.C. She worked as a research fellow at the National Institutes of Health studying anxiety and depression, as well as trained in the study of health care disparities and national health policy. She looks forward to traveling to Indonesia and teaming with local professionals to use her background in research and health policy in both identifying and working towards alleviating health issues unique to the Indonesian population and the global health setting.
