Alex Dang graduated from California State University, Long Beach with a B.S. in Molecular Cell Biology and Physiology. As an undergraduate, Alex researched the developmental changes of Y chromosome genes in the mouse cortex and hippocampus. After graduation, he worked as a medical scribe in the emergency department where he learned more about physicians and their important role in the community. He also learned about ultrasound and the many advantages it has as a diagnostic tool. During his free time, Alex enjoys playing basketball, going to the gym, and traveling. Following an exciting year of learning ultrasound, he is eager to teach, conduct research, and expand his cultural knowledge in Indonesia with his fellow UCI School of Medicine classmates
